A Message from Coach P

Hello Parents, Coaches & Athletes

My name is Trent Patterson (aka Coach P) and I’d like to share some quick facts about myself and introduce my PCU Football Academy & Recruiting Service. I’m on a mission to improve on field performance by enhancing the skill set of position players.

Some quick facts about me:

·  I’m originally from Syracuse NY.

·  I’ve lived in the Southern Tier for 20 plus years.

· I was the first football player from New York State to receive a full scholarship to the University of Alabama…  EVER!

· I was a 4-year lettermen and a 3-year starter.

· I was voted “Lifter of the Year” an honor bestowed to the team’s strongest player.

· I enjoy sharing my football journey and knowledge with the next generation in hopes of inspiring them to work hard on their own journey. I believe the game helped shape me into the man I’m am today. There are many life’s lessons to be learned in the huddle and on the field. I believe good coaches are key… those who are passionate about the game and keep their players safe and healthy. Teaching proper techniques, focusing on strength & conditioning to prepare their players for the rigors of the game (physically & mentally), and teach good sportsmanship and respect for their opponents and the game!

So… What does PCU stand for??

PCU defined:

Position – A place where someone or something is located or put.

*(The position you play… Where you line up on the field)*

Consolidated – Make (something) physically stronger or more solid.

*(We train all aspects of your position to make you a stronger and more solid player)*

Unified – Make or become united, uniform, or whole.

*(We bring all positions together as one, Offensively & Defensive to work as a unit)*

My end goal is to: “Building Better Position Players”

PCU Football Academy is committed to “Building Better Position Players” one sessions at a time! We focus on developing the position player. We teach the details of playing the position that frankly coaches don’t often get a chance to teach because of time. You won’t have to find a 1 or 2-day camp to send your child to, where they will learn techniques and drills, and hope they can remember what they were taught by the time they return home. I’m proud to say my PCU Football Academy sessions are comparable to what a player would receive at a Division 1 football camp. They don’t have to travel as far, and my training will be offered on an ongoing basis. This will give your child the opportunity to get invaluable reps in the off season and lend to a greater learning experience.
